The New Contents of Hungarian Foreign Policy is the title of the lecture to be hold by János Hóvári, Deputy State Secretary of Hungary's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The host of the event is Ferenc Glatz, ord. Member of HAS.

Hungarian National Council, 2010 – Conference |

With the conference the organizers wish to refer to the latest events in Vojvodina, namely the setting-up of the recently elected Hungarian National Council. The event is organized on July 6, 2010, 11 a.m. at the Congress Hall of the Research Centre for Social Studies of HAS.
At the event lectures will be held by Ferenc Glatz (President of the Scientific Council of the Research Centre for Social Studies of HAS), Zsolt Németh (State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs), István Pásztor (President of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians), Tamás Korhecz (President of the Hungarian National Council Vojvodina). |

The economist György Barcza is invited to elaborate on the current economic situation of Greece, the background and the implications of the crisis, with special reference to the Balkan countries, and on the prospects of reaching a solution. |

Meeting the Leading Officials of the Foundation Commemorating the Martyrs of the Region of Délvidék |

On March 3, 2010 Ferenc Glatz, President of Committee on Serbian-Hungarian History met the leading officials of the Foundation Commemorating the Martyrs of the Region of Délvidék 1944-1945. The delegation was led by the President of the Foundation, the historian Lajos Forró, further members were Zsolt Becsey, earlier representative of the European Parliament and initiator of the organization, as well as two members of the advisory board, Márton Matuska and Magdolna Kiss. During the meeting plans on the future work of the Committee on Serbian-Hungarian History were discussed and the representatives of the Foundation presented the current state of scientific research undertaken so far |

Serbian-Hungarian Historical Reconciliation |

In December 2009 Hungary’s State President László Sólyom and Serbian President Boris Tadić in a joint letter invited the Presidents of the Academy of Sciences in both countries to set up a bilateral committee with the participation of Hungarian and Serbian historians. Both Heads of State expressed their commitment to the “objective, detailed exploration of the common past by professional historians”. In January 2010, the President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, József Pálinkás, asked Ferenc Glatz to accept his appointment as President of the bilateral committee. Consenting to the appointment, in February 2009, the Director of the Institute of History at HAS met with colleague historians in the towns of Szeged, Pécs and Budapest – among others with Prof. Enikő Sajti, the historian Árpád Hornyák and Head of Department Dénes Sokcsevits. On February 22, 2010 Ferenc Glatz handed over his proposal on the potential members and the future tasks of the committee to the President of HA |

Issue 2010/1. of the periodical Párbeszéd a vidékért (Dialogue for Rural Areas) was published. It includes the lectures held at the National Rural Forum in Subotica in November 2009 on the Serbian-Hungarian relations, cross border rural development, the setting-up of rural networks in Vojvodina. |
